About the Job

Focus Staff is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their team in Portland, ME.

This is a 13-week contract position that requires the candidate to be highly motivated and energetic, with a strong focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
  • Interview patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and exhibit exceptional tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • Licensure in the required state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 per year, based on 36 hours of work per week. Additionally, benefits include health insurance coverage, 401K matching, new licensing reimbursement, and job staffing in all 50 states.
