We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware, in a part-time capacity. This position involves working on our general pediatrics stepdown unit, specifically on 2 West, a surgical intermediate unit with a diverse patient population.
Unit Overview2 West is a high-acuity unit that cares for patients requiring post-operative care, including those with urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. Additionally, we care for patients with acute and end-stage renal disease, as well as those requiring intermediate-level nursing care due to tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care
- Manage chest tubes, pain, blood products, urinary catheters, tracheostomies, ventilators, and central lines
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to make patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill sets
- BSN preferred; associate's degree with a commitment to obtain BSN within three years
- Pediatric experience preferred
- At least six months of nursing experience required
- Bilingual preferred
- Current DE nursing license and BLS certification through the American Heart Association
