Job Opportunity

The Granite YMCA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian/Housekeeper to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our building.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain women's and family locker rooms, as well as other facilities throughout the building
  • Ensure the building and grounds are kept in a safe and clean order through effective use of custodial skills and collaboration with other staff members
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, fitness studios, classrooms, and common areas, following established procedures
  • Perform duties such as replenishing stock in bathrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving minor and day-to-day custodial-related issues, and seek assistance as needed for larger projects
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of branch operations to proactively support ongoing events, programs, and needs


Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in custodial operations is preferred
  • Ability to read and follow safety instructions on cleaning agent chemicals
