Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Sparrow Health System. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including sanitary facilities, water supplies, storm water and sewage disposal, medical gases, and fire protection sprinkler systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a progressive preventive maintenance system.
- Ensure and provide a safe means of disposal of sanitary sewer and storm drainage system throughout the hospital.
- Provide for the installation of all domestic hot and cold water as needed throughout the hospital.
- Maintain and repair hot & chilled water piping for heating/cooling systems.
- Provide, install, and maintain all medical gases necessary for the operation of the hospital.
- Install and maintain fire protection sprinkler system.
- Perform and communicate with and around all patients, staff, and visitors within the confines of the hospital.
- Participate in On-Call Program for trade area.
Requirements:
- State of Michigan Journeyman Plumber License or higher.
- Drives hospital/department vehicles. Must have valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 Years Journeyman experience preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of plumbing code required by the city or state
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blue prints
- Demonstrated mathematical skills
