Procurement Strategist

At DRB, a Vontier Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement process for all direct and indirect materials and services required for our operations.

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with the company's production, financial objectives, and cost control goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of buyers, providing direction, support, and development opportunities to ensure efficient and effective procurement practices.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best value.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and review the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to address gaps, optimize purchasing efficiencies, and minimize excess stock.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure purchased materials meet company standards.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory levels.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or technology sectors, with three years of experience leading and developing others.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a team.
• Proven experience in supplier relationship management, negotiation, and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• APICS/ASCM or ISM certifications preferred.
• Experience in electronics or technology manufacturing.
