About this RoleWe are seeking an Electrical Engineering Designer to join our team, responsible for developing plans, designs, resource requirements, and cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects involving electrical distribution overhead and underground lines and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings using computer-aided drafting software.
- Develop construction plans, material requirements, and cost estimates for electrical distribution overhead and underground projects.
- Assist in the development of conductor replacement, structure replacements, and other overhead and underground projects.
- Review field data, photos, and other technical information to ensure compliance with the latest updates and technologies.
- Perform field visits to gather technical data and create Wind Loading/Pole Loading compliance forms.
- Coordinate access to professional and private facilities as needed.
- Communicate with internal staff and customers through various media channels.
- Broad knowledge of engineering principles, construction standards, and industry practices.
- General knowledge of customer proprietary software, including SAP, EES, MET, TIL, and Ocalc.
