Overview of the Role

An opportunity to work as a Staff Nurse Specialist in UPMC Hamot's Diagnostic & Non-vascular Interventional Procedure Unit. The ideal candidate will possess 1-year prior nursing experience in a procedural area and be willing to commit to professional development, quality improvement, and fostering positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range based on education and nursing experience. With an estimated annual salary between $65,000-$85,000, this role provides a great opportunity for career growth and financial stability.

Job Description
  • Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship-Based Care, creating a healing environment for patients.
  • Develop individualized care plans and daily goals in partnership with patients, addressing their clinical, social, psychological, safety, and spiritual needs.
  • Evaluate patient concerns and collaborate with other healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 1 year of hire/transfer.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification based on AHA standards, including a didactic and skills demonstration component, required within 30 days of hire.
