Job Summary:

This is a full-time position in a CVICU setting, requiring a strong clinical skill set and experience with fresh post-op cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Impella management, IABP management, and procedure requirements such as arterial lines, central venous catheters, and temporary dialysis catheters.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in a CVICU setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform procedures such as arterial line placement, central venous catheter insertion, and temporary dialysis catheter placement.
  • Remove pacing wires, chest tubes, IABP, and Impella devices as needed.
  • Participate in code blue team participation and consultations.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina.
  • Experience in a CVICU or ICU setting, with a strong clinical skill set.
  • Expertise in Impella management, IABP management, and procedure requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
