**Job Description:**

We are seeking a Resident Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, serving meals, and encouraging socialization and independence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining while promoting independence.
  • Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Initiate and participate in leisure activities, fostering friendships and socialization among residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
  • Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with coworkers.
  • Attend required in-service training sessions and maintain professional appearance and good personal hygiene.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
