Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries, physical exams, and dental work.
- Conduct laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, and obtain and submit routine lab samples.
- Administer medications and provide nursing care for hospitalized patients.
- Educate clients on preventive care, post-operative care, and chronic disease management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) required.
- Veterinary experience required, including client education, venipuncture, restraint, surgical monitoring, dental procedures, and X-rays.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Proficient computer and basic math skills.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus and comes with a pay differential.
