About the Role:
APluscare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Therapist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing support services to meet the changing needs of individuals receiving services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new support services to meet the evolving needs of individuals receiving services.
- Provide training to staff on implementing comprehensive behavior support plans.
- Develop and monitor behavior support plans, ensuring they align with APluscare policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to develop behavior intervention strategies.
- Intervene during behavioral crises, utilizing expertise to de-escalate situations.
- Stay up-to-date on current DHS rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance.
- Assist in inspections and investigations, cooperating with APluscare and DHS staff.
- Act as a liaison between parents, staff, and DHS staff to ensure a continuum of care and support.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation, working collaboratively with other APluscare staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BCBA certification required.
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related field required.
- Strong organizational, writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and flexibility are essential in assuming significant responsibility.
- Experience working in diverse communities with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to complete mandatory DHS training and demonstrate proficiency.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to drive for work-related purposes.
