Job Description

The Diagnostic Sonographer will perform a variety of imaging procedures, including abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of equipment and positioning to provide optimal service to patients and providers.

Responsibilities
  • Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines
  • Identifies patients with two identifiers
  • Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure
  • Observes and communicates with patients, responding to needs
  • Maintains a safe patient environment in the procedure area
Requirements
  • Associate's or Vocational degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Ultrasound or
  • Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology and 2 year School of Diagnostic Ultrasound or
  • Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARDMS registered or registry eligible
Licenses/Certifications
  • Certified Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required registered in abdomen, and/or OB/GYN, registry eligible upon hire or
  • Certified Ultrasound Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography registered in Breast upon hire required for Piper Breast Center Locations
