The role of Comprehensive Speech Therapist involves providing treatments to patients by evaluating their function and selecting appropriate treatments to improve or restore function. You will participate in an interdisciplinary approach for in-service and community education and contribute to the clinical education of affiliating students. Additionally, you may be responsible for cross-site coverage.
To succeed in this role, you will need to hold a graduate degree from an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology and a minimum of a Master's degree. A current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association are also required. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as well as basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows-based programs like Word, Outlook, and Excel.
