Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external auditors to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Assist in the collection of evidence related to various security compliance frameworks, including NYDFS 500, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Develop and refine strategies, goals, and objectives to meet and maintain HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple departments and cross-functional teams to enhance compliance efforts.
  • Contribute to the analysis of security control mapping and identify opportunities for compliance efficiency improvements.
  • Support the advancement of security compliance through automation and the use of innovative tools.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting and trend analysis of identified risks concerning compliance timelines for NYDFS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Organize, publish, and maintain audit evidence and related documentation for easy accessibility.
  • Assist the Global Security Compliance team with additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • In-depth understanding of HIPAA compliance objectives and criteria.
  • Strong knowledge of information security practices and methodologies.
  • Experience in assessing information security programs.
  • Familiarity with NYDFS, ISO 27001, and other relevant security frameworks.
  • Possession of security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, or any HIPAA-related certifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with project management and SharePoint technologies.
  • Ability to document business processes or technical procedures effectively.
  • Proven capability to utilize automation for process streamlining and efficiency enhancement.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical and security issues into understandable terms.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a willingness to rapidly learn new processes and adapt current methodologies without compromising quality.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
