Key Responsibilities- Provide direct assistance to surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Implement physicians' orders to provide visualization of the operative site using appropriate methods.
- Assist with body plane closure, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Completion of an RNFA program that meets AORN standards.
- Two years' registered nurse experience in an advanced surgical specialty.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
