Job Responsibilities
The Cement Plant Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a crew of skilled to highly skilled employees, providing support and assistance to other process supervisors, pyro-process supervisor, mill engineer, and relief supervisor as needed, directing safety and good housekeeping practices, administering positive and/or progressive disciplinary action, conducting annual reviews with employees, reviewing and evaluating employee performance, recommending merit increases, developing training programs using both in-house and outside sources, and performing other projects or assignments as directed by manager.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or GED, cement or aggregate production knowledge, excellent work history - minimum 5 years' experience in similar work environment, and extensive knowledge of the physical layout of the entire plant, i.e., water and airlines, conveyor systems, etc.
Working Conditions
This role requires working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, ice, rain, and high humidity. You will be exposed to vibrating equipment and mechanical and electrical hazards, heights, dust, cement, clay, gypsum, sand, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, etc.
