Job Summary

Bethel Farms is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our agricultural equipment and machinery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain a variety of farm equipment, including tractors, combines, and irrigation systems.
  • Tool Management: Maintain and manage a set of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and equipment usage.

Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic working on agricultural equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid FL driver's license, CDL preferred; certification/licensing advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.

Working Conditions

The Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, with moderate physical demands and exposure to various environmental factors while working outdoors and indoors with machinery.


Travel

The position involves up to 25% travel, with occasional overnight stays.
