Neurological Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neurological Care Specialist to join our team at Winchester Neurological Consultants, Inc. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with our physicians to deliver high-quality patient care and education.
Responsibilities:
• Independently perform comprehensive physical assessments and establish diagnoses for common short-term health problems and chronic, long-term health problems.
• Order, perform, and/or interpret laboratory data and diagnostic procedures, and prescribe medications according to an approved formulary.
• Counsel patients on health issues, including medication administration, health risk reduction, diet, exercise, and psycho-socio-economic health problems.
• Refer patients to other healthcare providers and resources as necessary, and provide initial emergency assessment and care until physician assistance is available.
• Document patient information effectively and in a timely manner, and participate in practice-based research.
Qualifications:
• Master's level Family Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited institution and active Virginia license.
• DEA license and current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Lifesaving (BLS) certificate.
