Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) or Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at Salem Transitional Care. As a member of our therapy team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with patients, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team. You will also be responsible for providing timely written documentation and developing and enhancing clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional associations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and execute established patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Communicate with patients, families, referring physicians, and other members of the team.
  • Provide timely written documentation per facility and department requirements.
  • Develop and enhance clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional associations.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum.
  • Able to practice unencumbered.
  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources.
  • Full knowledge of resident's rights.
  • Exudes professionalism in presentation.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
  • CPR certification.
