Job Description

Competitive Range Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, optimization, and modernization, with experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment.

The Senior Network Engineer will play a crucial role in the planning, developing, and implementing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) related to IT infrastructure and network architecture enhancements. This includes developing and designing innovative network solutions, collaborating with the project execution team, and conducting thorough analyses of existing network architectures.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of network design principles, protocols, and technologies, including network virtualization, multi-tenant network architectures, and routing and switching equipment from multiple vendors. They will also have experience with scripting languages and coding for network threshold events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design innovative network solutions as part of the ECP process.
  • Collaborate with the project execution team to develop ECPs.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of existing network architectures and propose modifications or upgrades to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
  • Engage in transport network modernization and optimization initiatives.
  • Assist in managing network-related projects from conception to closeout, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all technical and security requirements.

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • 2+ years as senior or lead engineer in planning, designing, and building software-defined networks.
  • 3+ years DoD environment experience.
  • Outstanding mathematics and IT abilities.
  • Configuring and installing various network devices and services.
  • Monitoring network performance and resource utilization, trending, capacity planning.
  • Use of current and emergent network design principles and protocols.
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with multi-tenant network architectures.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors.
  • Scripting languages and coding for network threshold events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in information systems, engineering, or equivalent.
  • IAT Level III certification.
