Job Title: Senior Director of Quality Assurance

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Quality Assurance to lead our Quality Assurance department within a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Quality Assurance department, overseeing a team of 40 employees.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems that ensure regulatory compliance and product excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and supply chain to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with all applicable food safety standards, including FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Continuously improve quality processes and implement best practices in QA methodologies.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints, product defects, and non-conformities.
  • Work closely with the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing to align quality objectives with business goals.
  • Manage the department's budget and resources efficiently to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensure ongoing training and development for the QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Deep knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing large teams.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with audit processes and quality management systems.
