Caregiver Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our mission-driven team at Sevita. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

$16.70 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and holiday pay.

As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing assistance and strategies to support individuals with daily living skills, such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
• Transporting and supporting individuals in the community, including outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping.
• Assisting individuals with vocational responsibilities, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and community participation.
• Supporting individuals with redirecting agitated or aggressive behaviors.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• To be at least 18 years old.
• Six months of experience in human services, preferably.
• A valid driver's license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
