Job Title: Field Laborer - Civil

Beitzel Corporation is seeking a skilled Field Laborer - Civil to join our team. As a Field Laborer - Civil, you will support all operations of the Civil Group in representation of the Field Services Division.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day tasks assigned by the customer, foremen, Superintendent, and or Civil Manager, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of required equipment inspections and emergency situations.
  • Assist with Civil operations, maintaining consistent quality and safe work practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  • Operate hand power tools, including air hammers, shovels, and various equipment and instruments.
  • Cut brush, clear ground, use picks, shovels, wheelbarrows, axes, etc.
  • Clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, and assist with repairs.
  • Perform civil site work, including mass earth work, finish grading, asphalt paving, underground storm drain, water lines, sewer lines, dry utilities for residential and commercial projects.
  • Load and unload trucks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Industrial experience or equivalent/relevant education and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of power tool use.
  • Prior experience working off lifts or staging.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
  • Sit, talk, hear, read, and write.
  • Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Perform duties on-site and underground at industrial locations.
