Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Clinical Nutrition, you will assess the nutritional status of patients and recommend appropriate nutrition therapy. You will also provide nutrition counseling to patients and family members as indicated.
Responsibilities- Evaluate the nutritional status of patients by reviewing pertinent information obtained from the electronic medical record and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document pertinent findings in the medical record as per policy.
- Provide quality nutrition counseling to patients and family members as indicated.
- Evaluate nutrition care plans for effectiveness and recommend changes as needed.
- Evaluate and assess the need for enteral and parenteral nutrition support, and provide recommendations as indicated.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds as needed.
- Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team.
- Assist with discharge planning as needed.
- 1 year experience, not including dietetic internship.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- MS Office Suite - Basic.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
