Job Summary

The Early Childhood Enrichment Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing specialized support, guidance, and educational enrichment to qualified 4-year-old children under the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential. This position requires a deep commitment to fostering the holistic development of young learners, encompassing emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Direct Tutoring and Enrichment Activities: Provide tailored tutoring and enrichment activities to meet the developmental needs of 4-year-old children who qualify for preschool.
  2. Supervise and Support Students: Supervise and support students daily, ensuring a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
  3. Network and Strategize with Partners: Effectively network and strategize with district, school, and community partners to improve services and outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with students, parents, and school teams to improve attendance, grades, test scores, behavior, and graduation readiness.
  5. Provide Social Service Referrals: Provide social service referrals for students and families to community agencies when appropriate.
  6. Develop and Implement Data-Driven Systems: Develop and implement effective systems to monitor and analyze student data and implement effective data-based decision-making to respond to needs based on data.
  7. Attend School Events: Attend school events such as parent/teacher conferences and open house nights to promote the Cook Inlet Tribal Council Preschool Enrichment Program.
  8. Attend Professional Development: Attend assigned training and professional development as determined by the Preschool Department and school.
  9. Promote District Preschool Opportunities: Promote, publicize, and connect students to district Preschool opportunities such as college/career readiness, night classes, credit recovery, and other enrichment and/or remedial opportunities.
  10. Maintain Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, students, and staff.
  11. Work a Flexible Schedule: Work a flexible work schedule which may change periodically to accommodate delivery of services.
Physical and Mental Demands

The physical demands of this job require frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking and hearing. Specific visual abilities are also required. The employee is regularly required to reach with his/her hands and arms and occasionally lift items weighing less than 40 lbs. Additionally, the employee must be able to understand vague and implicit instructions, be able to readily recall facts and details, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.

Work is performed in a professional environment with a wide variety of individuals having differing functions, personalities and abilities, including working with diverse groups of people in a variety of different settings.
