Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Security Technician to join our team at LONG Building Technologies Inc. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation of customer equipment, including installing, repairing, and maintaining security systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain IP and analog-based security systems, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, and mass communication systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain IP-based networks, communication systems, and other various infrastructures.
  • Provide technical support for customers, co-workers, and other LONG business units.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and document low-voltage systems.
  • Attend construction meetings as required for individual projects.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
  • Obtain and retain knowledge of current technologies to provide proficient and innovative expertise to our customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Attend and perform training functions as necessary.
Requirements
  • 2-year technical degree or 2 years of related experience with IP-based networking or electronic security systems required.
  • Places high value on quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and safe work practices for self and others.
  • 06 Low Voltage License.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions

This role will require occasional exposure to outside weather conditions and the ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
