Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Veterinary Oncologists to provide exceptional care to pets with cancer. Your expertise will be essential in administering medications, assisting with treatments, and providing top-notch patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and assist with treatments as directed by the Veterinary Oncologist
  • Provide in-patient medical care, including administering IV fluids, cleaning, feeding, and walking patients as needed
  • Assist with anesthesia and surgery prep, induction, maintenance, and recovery
  • Collect, prepare, and run or submit samples for requested tests, and record results as indicated
  • Communicate with clients regarding hospitalized patients, provide discharge instructions, and follow up as needed
  • Teach and educate clients on medical procedures and care
  • Stay calm and efficient during medical crises, and maintain a safe and effective patient handling and restraint environment
  • Maintain accurate medical records
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in veterinary medicine required
  • RVT license preferred but not required
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong venipuncture and catheter placement skills
