Job Overview

Precision Industrial Contractors is seeking a highly skilled Fabrication Shop Welder to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in FCAW & GMAW processes and be able to perform tasks with safety as the top priority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform welding tasks using FCAW & GMAW processes
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly/tacking and/or welding
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
  • Plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of heat effects and allowances for weld shrinkage, machining, and metal thickness
Requirements:
  • Must be certified or able to pass FCAW weld test to AWS D1.1 standards
  • Minimum of 3-6 years on-the-job experience in a structural shop as a Welder
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols
  • Knowledgeable in crane operations and rigging of structural steel
