Precision Hydraulics Technician

We are seeking an experienced Assemble and Test Hydraulic Equipment professional to join our team at Amtec Contract. As an Assemble and Test Hydraulic Equipment professional, you will be responsible for assembling and testing hydraulic equipment to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to design and assemble hydraulic systems that meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for setting up tests as required, drilling parts using micro-drills and lathes, reading pressure gauges and flow meters, and accurately logging data to ATP requirements.
You will also be responsible for swedging noses to form 37 degree and 45 degree conical shapes, lock-wiring and torque sealing parts, and maintaining accurate parts and part count for each job.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of hydraulic principles and concepts, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Set up tests as required
- Drill parts using micro-drills and lathes
- Read pressure gauges and flow meters and accurately log data to ATP requirements
- Swedge noses to form 37 degree and 45 degree conical shapes
- Lock-wire and torque seal parts
- Maintain accurate parts and part count for each job
- Install internal components using arbor press and proper fixtures
- Identify causes for test failures, rework, and suggest corrective action as required
- Set up and operate micro laser weld machine
- Set up and operate drill press for crimp roll
- Seek and document lean ideas to improve efficiency in the department
- Maintain all hand tools in clean working condition
- Notify supervisor of any equipment that requires repair
- Keep work station and test equipment clean and free of unnecessary debris
- Properly handle and dispose of chemicals used
- Maintain all safety standards and use safety equipment as required
- Identify any routings discrepancy and notify supervisor so changes can be made if necessary
- Read and understand blueprints
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification in Hydraulic Principles and 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
