Purpose of the Role
This position is responsible for managing the cleaning of engine, transmission, and sub-component parts. All team members are accountable for maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction. Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives is expected. Familiarity with workplace organization principles and problem-solving techniques is essential to mitigate any issues that may affect quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor all materials in accordance with the specified work order
  • Maintain the functionality of assigned equipment
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the work area and cleaning facilities
  • Uphold a neat, safe, and organized work environment following 5S principles
  • Receive sub-components for cleaning, such as cylinder heads, and identify the most effective cleaning methods based on various criteria
  • Examine parts for any cracks or damages, and document observations
  • Classify materials according to their cleaning process stage, as outlined in the work order
  • Log time spent on each job (work order) either manually or within the computer system
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in task execution
  • Exhibit reliability, responsibility, and dependability in all aspects of the role
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain a positive and cooperative demeanor
  • Be open to working overtime as needed
  • Embrace a VPS/Lean mindset
Essential Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. A vocational certificate or equivalent experience is also necessary.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with general machinery and equipment, understanding of engine and/or transmission operations, basic proficiency with hand and air tools, and experience operating general shop equipment are preferred. Basic computer skills are essential, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Visual, SAP, or IFS is a plus. A positive attitude, effective communication skills, eagerness to learn and share knowledge, punctuality, self-motivation, independence, and strong teamwork capabilities are highly valued.
