Job Summary
The Nursing Excellence Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving quality improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence within Prisma Health's nursing teams. This position serves as a key liaison between nursing leadership and staff, ensuring seamless execution of Magnet recognition programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain expertise in Magnet recognition standards, staying abreast of changing requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with nursing leaders, directors, and managers to align goals and objectives, ensuring successful implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide oversight and guidance for the completion of nursing recognition program documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to educate and engage nursing staff on Magnet readiness and excellence initiatives.
- Support shared governance at the campus and unit level, mentoring council chairs and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Collect and support the Nursing Annual Report content, ensuring campus-specific information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Develop survey/site visit plans, conducting mock surveys and analyzing results to inform recommendations for successful site visits.
Requirements:
- BSN degree in Nursing
- 3 years of related nursing experience, including Magnet or Pathway to Excellence, Nursing Shared Governance, Education, or Research
- Magnet/Pathway to Excellence experience preferred
- Licensed to practice as an RN in South Carolina
