English Teacher

Job Summary:

This is a 12-month English teaching position at Rockingham YDC in Reidsville, NC. The successful candidate will provide students with direct instruction in English utilizing the Common Core State Standards and NC Essential Skills.

Responsibilities:

• Plan lessons based on the Common Core/Essential Standards and students individual learning needs.
• Provide research-based interventions to provide an appropriate education for EC students.
• Utilize data to inform all instructional activities based on the NC Standards.
• Keep all student records, exceptional children's program paperwork, and student progress up to date.

Requirements:

• A current (non-expired) North Carolina teacher license, "A" or "M", with teaching certification in the area of English, or be eligible to obtain an Emergency or Residency teaching license.
• Experience establishing rapport with and/or relating to the students served and their families, treatment professionals, and/or campus staff.
• Experience writing individualized education plans and completing all required paperwork.
