About the Role:

Catholic Charities Diocese of Paterson is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our treatment team, you will provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions, as well as case management services to clients on your caseload.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and regulations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • CADC or LCADC certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the addictions and/or mental health field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
