Position Overview:
The Formulation Chemist II [Contract] will join the Monroeville Business and Technology Center's Photochromic team, engaging in the execution of experiments focused on product formulation and evaluation.

The primary objective of this team is to innovate new products through a comprehensive understanding of formulation and application techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with formulators, chemists, and scientists to support the advancement of Transitions products.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and industry benchmarks for formula mixing, sample preparation, and testing.
- Conduct precise measurement and mixing of formula components as outlined in a formulation log.
- Prepare test specimens for various assessments.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain safety protocols for the team, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and adherence to safety regulations.
- Document and report experimental findings accurately.
- Observe experimental details and external influences meticulously.
- Manage time effectively to enhance work efficiency.
- Independently plan and execute all facets of an experiment following discussions of objectives with the supervisor.
- Analyze data and provide recommendations for subsequent work.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
- 0-1 years of laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with coatings formulation is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project tasks simultaneously.
