Role Responsibilities:

As an Information Systems Security Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflow and processes. Your duties will include:

  • Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Reviewing and approving requests related to access, devices, and other authorizations.
  • Maintaining current system information to support organizational requirements.
  • Evaluating the impact of network and system changes and approving modifications.
  • Managing multiple projects throughout the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to mitigate system vulnerabilities.
  • Submitting recommendations for system configuration deviations.
  • Conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Ensuring documentation for security-relevant software, hardware, and firmware is maintained.
  • Monitoring system recovery processes to ensure security features are restored.
  • Ensuring all security-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Notifying relevant individuals of changes that may affect authorization.
  • Participating in governance and project reviews.

Documentation Skills: Strong documentation skills are essential for creating and updating policies and procedures.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with XACTA 360, Continuum, and other SCAP Compliant tools is preferred.

Knowledge Requirements: Familiarity with RMF, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53/53A, and STIGs is essential.

Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field is required.

  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
