Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at PrideStaff. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for designing and modifying shipping containers to create functional and aesthetically pleasing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Container Modification: Design and modify shipping containers to meet client specifications, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with building codes.
  • Fabrication and Assembly: Execute fabrication tasks such as cutting, welding, framing, and installing insulation, flooring, doors, and other components.
  • Customization Expertise: Implement custom designs according to client requirements, incorporating features like HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and specialized equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks throughout the construction process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Site Installation: Conduct on-site installation and assembly of container facilities, ensuring safe and efficient deployment at client locations.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, including material inventory, project timelines, photo documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, building materials, and structural design principles.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and construction machinery.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification or training in electrical, welding, carpentry, or construction trades.
  • Experience with modular construction or container-based projects.
  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate solutions for unique project requirements.
