Position Overview
As an Ultrasound Imaging Specialist at Emerson Hospital, you will play a vital role in the diagnostic imaging team. Reporting directly to the Section Leader of Mammography/Sonography, you will employ advanced ultrasound technology to assist in medical evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
1. Utilizing high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic methodologies to produce and assess ultrasound images and related data.
2. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic outcomes.

Qualifications
Educational Background
Completion of an accredited educational program that qualifies for ARDMS registry eligibility.

Professional Experience
Prior experience in sonography is highly desirable.

Licensure and Certification
Must possess current registration with ARDMS, or be ARDMS-eligible with the certification obtained within one year of employment.

Additional Requirements
Current BLS certification as a healthcare provider is mandatory.

Essential Skills
1. Proficient in ultrasound scanning techniques across various specialties including vascular, OBGYN, abdominal, and small parts.
2. Strong understanding of medical, radiological, and sonographic terminology, both written and oral.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and its correlation with anatomical structures.
4. Ability to identify and interpret pathological conditions.
5. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
6. Competency in computer operations and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
