Commercial Truss Designer

Cascade Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Commercial Truss Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed cold-formed steel truss designs for commercial construction projects.

• Read and interpret construction documents to create 3D truss framing plans using advanced CAD software.
• Collaborate with internal sales staff, external contractors, architects, and structural engineers to develop comprehensive truss submittal packages.
• Work with third-party engineering firms to create custom truss bracing plans and connection details.
• Generate bills of materials and manage purchase orders.
• Provide crucial support during the installation process, addressing questions from framing contractors.

• Familiarity with the construction industry and/or hands-on field experience.
• Strong math skills with a basic understanding of engineering and physics.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• A related associate or bachelor's degree is a plus but not required for this position.
