Position Overview:
This role is essential for the provision of high-quality imaging services within our healthcare system. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, positioning, and scanning of patients for advanced imaging procedures, including Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct all Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
2. Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding the safe handling of radiopharmaceuticals.
3. Review imaging results for technical precision and relay findings to the radiology team.
4. Maintain inventory of supplies and communicate any shortages to the relevant personnel.
5. Verify patient identity and ensure exam orders align with clinical indications.
6. Foster effective communication with patients, families, and medical staff.
7. Uphold departmental policies and standards related to confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, and infection control.
8. Utilize hospital information systems for accurate patient documentation.
9. Exemplify the principles of a Just Culture in all interactions.
10. Perform additional duties as required while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in Nuclear Medicine is required.
- Licenses: Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N)).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in necessary computer skills is required, with the ability to acquire job-specific competencies within a designated timeframe.

Educational Background:
A graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program is essential.
