Global Tax Director

As a key member of the Fortive Corporation team, the Global Tax Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's tax strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute impactful tax strategies to enhance the global tax burden of Fortive Corporation.
  • Lead the tax team in the timely completion of compliance deliverables, including corporate income tax return preparation and provision of data supporting US international and state income tax reporting.
  • Coordinate and assist foreign operations with reporting requirements, including quarter and annual tax reporting to FTV.
  • Direct oversight of US sales and use and property tax compliance, including government inquiries and audits.
  • Develop a team of skilled tax professionals through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of progressively more responsible and successful experience in corporate tax departments and/or public accounting firms, with a strong knowledge of transfer pricing, tax planning, and tax compliance.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to interpret tax rules and regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic tax plans that align with FTV and operational goals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to various stakeholders.

The Global Tax Director will report to the CFO and work closely with the FTV tax team, as well as other finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
