Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified professional to provide safe and efficient transportation of students in the Sheffield-Sheffield Lake Consolidated School District.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure student safety and well-being by following all traffic laws and regulations while transporting them to their designated stops.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned buses, adhering to school standards for interior and exterior maintenance.
  • Report any accidents or moving violations to the Transportation Supervisor or local authorities.
  • Enforce state, local, and school policies related to student behavior and safety.
Requirements:
  1. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Hold a valid CDL with a minimum of Class B school bus and passenger endorsement.
  3. Pass random drug/alcohol screening tests.
  4. Complete additional training and certifications as deemed necessary by the Board.
Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions and varying levels of noise. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Compensation:

$20.08 - $25.30 per hour, depending on experience.
