X-Ray/Radiology Technologist Job Description

SIMEDHealth is seeking a skilled X-Ray/Radiology Technologist to join our team in Gainesville, FL. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality radiographic exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with positioning for x-ray exams and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operate x-ray equipment and processor, maintaining accurate records and following quality assurance protocols.
  • Collaborate with medical providers to obtain radiography reports and ensure timely communication.
  • Order and stock supplies for daily use, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform quality assurance protocols, including monthly collimator testing and yearly lead apron & glove testing.
  • Assist with marketing duties to develop the diagnostic center and perform clerical tasks to enhance department productivity.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Successful completion of R.T. Certification (Radiologic Technologist).
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) license (preferred).
  • Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a general radiographer.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a hospital or medical office setting (preferred).
