Position Overview:
Geisinger is in search of a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hematologist Oncologist to become part of a distinguished cancer program at Selinsgrove Cancer Clinic.
We provide a unique platform for both early-career and seasoned hematology oncology practitioners to advance their careers within a well-established, physician-led organization. Our team collaborates closely with surgical oncology, palliative care, radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic radiology, and behavioral health to ensure exceptional cancer treatment for our patients.
As a physician-led entity, Geisinger is committed to innovation and leadership in cancer care, medical education, research, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Geisinger fosters an intellectually stimulating environment, featuring the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, over 50 graduate medical education programs, and fellowship opportunities in hematology/oncology and palliative medicine. Our health system has received NCI-NCORP designation and is dedicated to participation in cancer clinical trials. The medical school is recognized for its innovative educational approach, emphasizing active learning, longitudinal clinical experiences, and community involvement.
Our providers engage with fellows and residents to mentor the next generation of hematology and oncology specialists while also having the chance to participate in the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, which prioritizes active learning and community engagement.
Our patients contribute to the MyCode Community Health Initiative, with over 275,000 patient genomes sequenced for research and real-time clinical applications. Providers interested in clinical or informatics research collaborate within Geisinger and across institutions to enhance patient care and advance scientific knowledge.
