Overview

Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
- Conducts comprehensive sleep studies including polysomnography, CPAP, BPAP, and MSLT assessments.
- Diagnoses and resolves equipment and sensor issues effectively.
- Prepares for and manages complex patient cases and specialized sleep evaluations.
- Works autonomously while collaborating effectively with healthcare team members.
- Ensures accuracy in scoring sleep studies through reliable interscoring practices.
- Performs additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Possession of one of the following credentials is required, with RPSGT being preferred:
- RPSGT, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
- RST, Registered Sleep Technologist, from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
- Credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC):
- CPFT, Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist
- RPFT, Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist
- CRT, Certified Respiratory Therapist
- RRT, Registered Respiratory Therapist
- A current BLS certification is required, which can be obtained post-hire.
