Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Valuation Control Supervisor in the NAM Equities division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the valuation control process for our entire inventory held within the NAM Equities business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate market data inputs and ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and implement methodologies and procedures for valuation adjustments and price testing across the business.
  • Ensure timely remediation of regulatory matters and associated reporting demands.
  • Design and maintain a robust control framework to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for discrepancies and price variance breaches.
  • Identify pricing issues and valuation parameters that require attention, with a focus on critical analysis.
  • Lead global, cross-functional projects and collaborate with stakeholders to drive change.
People Management and Leadership
  • Lead and manage parts of the NAM Equities Valuations team.
  • Act as a business partner to the Business, Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams.
  • Develop and manage offshore teams.
Control Framework
  • Enhance and manage the control and governance framework associated with the NAM Equities Business.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in a valuation, risk, or product control related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of current global accounting and regulatory developments pertaining to the valuation of financial instruments.
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and effectively challenge peers in Finance, Risk, and the Business.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Skills
  • Ability to manage time and work priorities efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to perform in a time-pressurized environment.
  • Understanding of cash and derivative valuation methodologies in at least one Asset class.
  • Hands-on experience of implementing new or enhancing existing valuation methodologies.
  • Working with other stakeholders to drive change.
  • An understanding of accounting for fair-valued instruments, with a focus on complex/exotic derivatives.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to train and develop a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Hands-on, with a good eye for detail, and able to communicate to seniors in a succinct/clear fashion.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Advance Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in any finance, economics, or quantitative related subject.
