Job OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Head of Manufacturing and Quality Control to join our New Brunswick, New Jersey team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the plant operations, including production, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and quality control.

Responsibilities- The Head of Manufacturing and Quality Control will oversee all plant operations and production by working directly with and providing leadership to supervisors in all departments.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant efficiency, productivity and overall performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with Engineering to manage the implementation of automation projects from concept development to launch.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including management, employees and external partners.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Develop and train on performance standards and Standard Operating Procedures for all plant processes.
- Establish policies and procedures required to ensure plant safety and cleanliness.
- Participate in maintenance planning and scheduling of projects.
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or University in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Master's Degree preferred.
- At least 10 years' experience in plant operations management with proven results in a chemical manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts/methods, as well as process optimization techniques (i.e. waste elimination, parts flow, pull, etc.) as well as Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in implementing automation in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in process driven operations; chemical down packing experience highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability in chemical processing disciplines.
- Solid knowledge of cGMP, FDA and other applicable regulations.
- Demonstrated history of leadership and implementation of operational improvements that resulted in significant gains in plant operational efficiencies.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills with leadership ability and a good team player.
- Knowledge of federal and state health and safety regulations.
- Strong professional acumen, and proven project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and lead.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
- This position offers a competitive salary based on experience: $120,000-$150,000 per year.
