Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care to patients with various types of cancer. As a Travel Oncology RN, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cancer and hematological disorders
  • Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments, as well as other medications
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor patients' conditions and respond to changes in their status
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or compact state
  • Minimum 2 years of recent oncology experience
  • Competency in high-acuity patient care
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider card highly preferred
Work Environment:

This is a 7-7 rotating shift position with 36 hours guaranteed per week. The unit has 28 general care beds and 6 progressive/stepdown beds. The EMR system used is Cerner Cares.
