About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN to join our Obstetric Hospitalist program at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As an Obstetric Hospitalist, you will provide care for unassigned patients and coordinate follow-up care. You will also render services to patients who deliver precipitously or have emergency obstetric conditions that require STAT obstetric care.

In a 24-hour shift, you can expect to participate in 2-3 deliveries. On a limited basis, this position will include caring for unassigned GYN non-surgical and unstable patients in the Emergency Department.

LDS Hospital is home to a 12-bed labor & delivery unit, averaging just under 2,000 deliveries annually. We have Level II NICU and MFM clinic on site, with MFM & Neonatologist support available via telehealth 24/7. Anesthesiologist on site 24/7.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide care for unassigned patients
  • Coordinate follow-up care
  • Rend service to patients requiring STAT obstetric care
  • Care for unassigned GYN non-surgical and unstable patients in the Emergency Department

Requirements:
  • B/C or B/E OB/GYN with at least one year of obstetric practice experience beyond residency
  • Formal training in electronic fetal monitoring interpretation
  • Licensed, or ability to become licensed, to practice medicine in the State of Utah
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification
