Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at SoundWay Consulting Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy systems within AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Utilize your expertise in Unix and/or Windows operating systems to provide expert-level support and maintenance.
  • Implement and adhere to industry best practices for system engineering, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct system performance analysis and optimization to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in systems engineering and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define system specifications, and develop implementation plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in a Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 years of additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a BS.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably working with systems within AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Strong expertise in Unix and/or Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies and containerization platforms.
