Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer is accountable for executing inspections at various stages, including incoming, in-process, and final evaluations, utilizing technical drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation. This role involves generating nonconformance reports and collaborating with a diverse internal team, including Project Engineers, Buyers, and Project Managers. The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in the establishment of effective corrective and preventive measures. Proficiency in setting up and utilizing measurement instruments (such as calipers and micrometers) is essential. Additionally, this position entails conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to the quality management system and confirming that all necessary documentation for product quality release is provided by vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of Parkson equipment at various stages.
- Generate detailed inspection reports for evaluations performed at supplier locations.
- Participate in and conduct quality management system audits at both supplier sites and Parkson facilities, following ISO 9001 standards.
- Oversee the non-conformance reporting system to investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and identify suitable corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Execute supplier audits to assess their capability to deliver consistently high-quality products.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance concerning quality metrics.

- Analyze project specifications to pinpoint quality compliance requirements and liaise with sales and project management teams to ensure a mutual understanding of quality-related scopes.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, accompanied by 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Experience:
- Proficient in conducting surface preparation and coatings inspections in accordance with NACE and SSPC standards.

- Experienced in performing welding inspections and non-destructive examinations (NDE) within manufacturing environments, with familiarity in standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coating thickness measurement devices.

- Previous involvement in process improvement initiatives, development of procedures and instructions, supplier audits, and inspection/testing activities.

Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is preferred.
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and bills of materials.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Certifications:
- CWI and NACE certifications are preferred.

Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
